Cylinder area

What is cylinder area

Imagine that the cylinder is like a soda can. To get the surface area you would need to calculate: top and bottom surfaces and the surface of the thing that goes around.
Left part of formula: 2πrh calculates the body of cylinder. This is when every circumference of body of cylinder 2πr is multiplied by height of cylinder h
Right part of formula: 2πr2 calculated areas of top and bottom circles. This is simply the area of circle 2πr multiplied by 2

A = rh+2πr2 {{ result }}
